Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his first championship for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a difficult period, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in especial - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the past month - peaking in a closely contested competitive triumph over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial title following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt after spring of the previous year.
Victory also indicates the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six finals, featuring in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive approach and frequent outbursts on court had led some to doubt if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and play assertively, reinforced by an better serve.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, taking 4 of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair exchanged break points in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first tour championship, took control to push for a final set.
Moutet saved 4 early-game opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the Russian broke to fifteen to secure the win.
Fittingly, he clinched victory with a rally at the net area, with Moutet unable to handle a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
